This is an antique metal stamping embossing machine with cast iron parts for making industrial identification tags. It’s like a "Dymo Label Maker" for use with metal tape. The current equivalent model of this machine is the T-10. This machine uses 1/2" tape and the letters are approximately 1/4" tall. The font is Tahoma or something very close to it.
Manufactured by Roovers Bros., Inc. from Brooklyn under an 1883 Patent.
The embossing machine is approx. 25" long and 13" high.
This is a functional tool from a working artist's studio. The tape feeder works well.
