Goddard architectural carved shell corner cupboard crafted by the Harden Furniture Company of McConnellsville, New York.

This cupboard is a decorator piece made of solid pine. It looks like an antique but is really a reproduction. The beauty of this stunning piece is in the details. It stands 7'4" tall and features a carved shell motif at the top with carved pilasters flanking the shelves. There are two raised panel doors at the bottom and inside is a removable shelf.

It comes with its original factory finish of a clear coat, satin finish, showing the beauty of the wood. There is scant touches of paint highlighting the details, as it is meant to look like the piece was painted and then stripped, giving it a bit of a rustic finish. This cupboard was never painted but you could paint it any color you like. It would be lovely in black, cream, or painted to match your walls. (Please note that the plates & other accessories shown in the photos are not included.) Please call me at show contact info about this piece.

This cupboard was purchased from the shop of the well-known Buffalo interior designer, Florence Cooper in 1995 for $2,400. The Harden Furniture Company was located in the Oneida County hamlet of McConnellsville, New York, which has been making high-quality furniture for 174 years up until it closed it doors in 2018.
